Awin uses clickref. Dune injects your click UUID automatically.
How Awin conversions arrive
Unlike Admitad or PartnerStack, Awin doesn’t push real-time postbacks. Dune Sale runs a daily cron at 06:00 UTC that pulls the previous day’s conversions via Awin’s API.
You’ll see Awin conversions appear once per day. That’s a network characteristic, not a Dune limitation.
Status lifecycle
- Pending — customer’s order is placed
- Approved — merchant validated (typically 30-60 days after order)
- Rejected — merchant declined (return, fraud, etc.)
Approval and payment timing
- Approval window: 30-90 days depending on merchant
- Awin pays Dune monthly on the 15th for the previous month’s confirmed conversions
- Highest reversal rate of any network we integrate with — set expectations accordingly
What to watch for
- Voucher and cashback sites saturate many Awin verticals — content sites need to differentiate
- Some big merchants (Amazon UK, John Lewis) have restrictive terms
- Confirm cookie duration on the program — Awin default is 30 days but merchants can override
